Attractions
These groups of tiled modern-art pillars are located in all towns throughout the Macedon Ranges. These pillars were created by groups of local school children, under the direction of a sculptor, with each individual pillar containing a simple message of hope.
About Gisborne
Gisborne is an attractive township nestled in the valley of Jackson Creek, 1 km west of the Calder Freeway and 54 km north-west of Melbourne. Many of the deciduous trees in our extensive parklands and lining Gisborne’s entrance roads were planted more than a century ago by our early settlers. Although originally set in an agricultural district, Gisborne provided varied services for settlers and travellers alike and has now become a quiet country town with easy access for commuters to Melbourne or Bendigo."
